As part of the New Zealand community Kate is willing to provide legal services for a good cause at a reduced or free charge, apart from the right for recovery of actual direct or outside costs which are incurred.

Kate will accept instructions and responsibility in the following circumstances:

1. The cause must genuinely be one for the public good and must be deserving
2. The scope of the work must be within her area of expertise in the RMA/Public Law field and within her work capacity at the time
3. She must be able to withdraw if circumstances change.
4. Where Kate accepts instructions, Kate can offer reduced fees arrangements from a 30-40% reduction to no charge, dependent on the circumstances. It will be expected that in all cases you are responsible for outside disbursements and office costs which are incurred such as travel, disbursements, communications costs, and filing fees.
